So, we've decided to offer up some FREE games for working pull requests having been completed to our satisfaction and follows our quality standards and formatting conventions (not a hacked up mess).
The only projects this would apply to are the Next-Gen projects listed below.
It does not apply to any of the legacy projects that are no longer under active development.
I'll be setting up a tiered system most likely with levels of rewards for each tier determined by your amount and quality of pull requests.
How do I get started?
Find an open issue on our tracker that isn't "in progress" and is actually confirmed as valid. "In progress" issues are...
"Oh noes! It haz exploitz!?!" said Bob... then he learned what false positive was...
Sometimes anti-virus and/or other security software reports that a program is infected with a virus, trojan, or somehow malicious, even when the program is not really infected with any malicious code. This kind of problem is known as "False Positive" or "False Alert".
If your anti-virus scanner reports that Spoutcraft or one of the files it uses is infected or otherwise malicious, please post here along with the name of your anti-virus/security software, the name of the virus/malware/exploit that it reports it as, any screenshots of the alert screen, and the Spoutcraft build you were using/trying to use. See below for example reporting formats.
What is the Spout Project?
The Spout project provides a robust API, server, and client framework with the aim to make both client and server perform better, more secure, easier to manage, and entirely extensible.
Spout is an upcoming server/client software, written from the ground up (not a server mod like CraftBukkit). It is not focused on Minecraft; focusing instead on a general framework for voxel-based games. The Minecraft implementation of it is in the Vanilla plugin, which you will read more about below.
SpoutAPIis the new API for Spout. It allows developers to create plugins which work with the client, server, or both with no need for any special modifications or class file edits. Using the power of this API, a person can create an entire game like Minecraft or something entirely different (sky isn't necessarily the limit)....
The meeting is open for all to attend, but only staff will be able to talk. Click here for your local meeting time.
